NAVTEQ Powers Uniden's First Line of PNDs, MapTrax GPS352 and MapTrax GPS402

CHICAGO, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NAVTEQ (NYSE:NVT) , a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, today announced that it has been selected by Uniden America Corporation to provide digital map data for the company's first line of personal navigation devices (PNDs).

Uniden, a leading manufacturer of wireless consumer electronics, makes its first foray into the fast growing PND category with its MapTrax(TM) GPS352 and GPS402. Each MapTrax unit is preloaded with NAVTEQ(R) map data for the U.S. and Canada and offers user-friendly features, including turn-by-turn voice instructions, high-speed map processing and WAAS Mapping Accuracy. The units feature slim-line designs for easy portability as well as intuitive interfaces for easy navigation. The GPS352 and GPS402 units come with high-resolution, daylight viewable 3.5-inch and 4.0-inch LCD displays, respectively and two million points of interest (POI).
NAVTEQ(R) digital map data provides users with rich and accurate mapping information for an enhanced navigation experience as well as optimal routing. Users also gain access to NAVTEQ's comprehensive Points of Interest (POI) database which includes millions of restaurants, hotels, airports, gas stations, ATMs and other destinations across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
