PHILADELPHIA, January 30, 2007 – Philadelphia Soul team members, co-owner Jon Bon Jovi and Saturn General Manager Jill Lajdziak will unveil a one-of -a-kind Saturn Aura that will be displayed at the Philadelphia International Auto Show and then at Soul events until it is raffled to help restore historically significant row houses in North Central Philadelphia and turn them into environmentally friendly homes for needy local families.

Bon Jovi and Lajdziak will reveal the Philadelphia Soul Special Edition Saturn Aura during a press preview for the auto show on Friday, February 2, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center . The show is open to the public February 3 – 11. Afterwards, it will be displayed at eight Soul home games, where attendees will be able to buy raffle tickets. The car, donated by the Saturn division of General Motors, will be raffled off at the Soul’s last regular season home game on Thursday, June 21, with all proceeds donated to the Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation.
Lajdziak, Bon Jovi and Soul players Mike Brown, Tony Graziani and Sean Scott will pull the cover off this unique version of the car recently named North American International Car of the Year.

Saturn has both a working relationship with the team – it is the Official Vehicle of the Philadelphia Soul – and a strong commitment to the Philadelphia community served by the Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation’s Project HOME, which has helped more than 7,000 residents break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Saturn previously donated $750,000 to Project HOME. Working together with Habitat for Humanity, the partners are renovating 15 deteriorated row houses in one of Philadelphia ’s most poverty-stricken neighborhoods, as well as building new Philadelphia homes.

To benefit the project, the 2007 Saturn Aura mid-sized sedan was transformed into a work of art inspired by the Soul’s legacy. It features team colors, badges and a center chrome shifter plate signed by Bon Jovi and NFL great Ron Jaworski. The headrests, floor mats and trunk mats are embroidered with the Soul logo. The Soul Edition Saturn Aura also features a spoiler and 18-inch wheels, as well as a plaque identifying it as a singular automobile.

"This one-of-a-kind Soul Edition Saturn Aura is an exciting way to pair Soul fans' lifestyle with one of our hottest products," Lajdziak said." We had the ultimate Soul fan in mind when we customized the Soul Edition Aura with unique exterior and interior touches. But the Aura also reflects the values of the Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation and Project HOME: We engineered it to get the government’s highest safety ratings and to be fuel-efficient. Later this year, we will introduce a Green Line version, which will be GM’s first hybrid passenger car.”
